Day 7

Tuesday, June 5th 9am-5pm

I started my day by reviewing the records I created last week. I wanted to make sure that I had not made any errors and that they included all needed information.

I also want to take a bit of time to put together a beginning authority file. I plan to keep a local authority file in an excel spreadsheet. It will have three worksheets: subject, location, and name. As I include different subject headings, location subjects, and personal and corporate names, I intend to add them to our local authority file.

I also plan to take some time this afternoon to put together a thorough list of questions for my meeting with Nancy and Elaine on Thursday. We are discussing subject headings and though I have studied them a bit in class I have many questions.

When all of this has been completed a will work on a few more record drafts, but I think I will wait until after Thursdays meeting to complete them (hopefully I will be able to add subject headings).
